29 Weeks Pregnant and Final Weekend at MDRF 2012

Remnants of Hurricane Isaac on opening weekend
...this was NOT the tornado I speak of! That was separate)
This year has been one of the best and most fun seasons we have ever had at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Depsite the grueling heat and gross jungle weather the first couple of weekends (and me being 25 pounds heavier with child!),

AND the tornado threat that whipped through the site during a show, Eddie and I had such an amazing time.

We got so see some of our favorite familiar faces and meet and share the enthusiasm of plenty of new faces as well. We got to welcome three new beautiful babies to our extended and imidiate family, Aiden, Faolan, and my nephew, Jeremiah. And I will always cherish the time I spent dancing while carrying my first child. The last few weekends, she (or he) was getting in on the performance, trying to show off her own moves from within while I was performing. What an amazing experience!! I'm so glad I chose to dance through my pregnancy, and why not?

2012 has definitely been a year of change, and for us, I think its a beautiful and postive change. It seems as though everything and everyone around us is going through a metamophisis of sorts, and I strongly feel that it is for the better. I look forward to the coming months, and what 2013 will bring for us all!

29.5 week tummy!

Last week, I entered into my third trimester, it seemed to get here SO fast! I still feel great, I'm still dancing, and still loving the whole experience. My only hope is that this will serve me well when the time comes to push. :-)

The Midwives Will Be Happy!

Just wanted to post a quick follow up to the below post, that due to such an incredible angel, our goal of paying the rest of the fee to the midwives has been accomplished!! We will now be able to finish making way for baby and make sure we have the remaining necessities for him/her.
THANK YOU!!! :-)

Diapers, Etc....

Friends,
We are almost about halfway done paying for our wonderful midwives at Ten Moons Midwifery. However, things are getting a little stretched, and not just my belly! In less than two months, we need to come up with $1,723, which, as I said, being both self-employed with things slowing down this time of year, well, we're doing our best.

When people have asked us what we need for the baby and want to send us gifts, I think the best answer would be diapers and donations, haha! People just seem afraid too gift diapers, but really, those are awesome!  (See:
http://www.mother-ease.com/default.aspx/281We've also decided to set up a place for online donations, as any little bit helps, and is immensely appreciated.

Also, if anyone has any name suggestions, please post them in the comments box! :-)

Thank you so much!

27 Weeks Pregnant on my 28th Birthday

I just have one more week of my 2nd trimester, and then I am into the home stretch. Time is just flying!
I'm still feeling great, my child is very busy and keeps me laughing. Names are also finally coming to me...as is a hunch on the gender. ;-) We shall see!

Yesterday, I had a super great birthday, all I wanted to just relax and have fun - no work!
Spent the day in Charlottesville with my also pregnant little sister, enjoying our precious few days left together before one of us is a mom and snaking on decadent cupcakes from Whole Foods and Sweet Frog later on. I was even talked into an iPhone because there was an insanely good deal going on!

Trying to figure out the new iPhone in C'ville

Did not realize until later that there is a much easier way to accomplish a self portrait than the old method! Brynn is due Saturday, and I still have a couple of months

After saying au revoir to Brynn, I headed back home to see Willow (our mule) and head out to dinner with my wonderful husband, Eddie, at the Thai Resturant. What a wonderful day it was!

Eddie loves playing with the new iPhone!

Its so easy to capture great photos with it! And yes, those naughty kittens ARE in fact sleeping on the woodstove, not on. We need to break them of that habit. I got some books in the mail, also for my birthday, and they were happy just to see the box and wrappings. ;-)

Sirius Black - One year old now!

I found this little kitten at only 4 weeks old in August of 2011...and he is still with me. :-) He has grown into such a wonderful friend and I am grateful for him! He cares for the newly found orphaned kitties, grooms them, plays with them, and snuggles and sleeps with them.

24 Weeks - More than halfway!

Things are moving so fast these days, and growing rapidly too. I had my first visit with the midwives a couple weeks past and got to hear my baby's heartbeat for the first time. WHAT an amazing experience! I recorded it to my cell phone and keep re-playing it in awe.

Pregnant Sisters Photo Shoot

My beautiful friend Ruth Young spent the morning with my sister and I one hot and humid August Saturday to do a photo shoot of the two of us...while both pregnant with our first children. I'm still amazed! My sister (younger) is due September 2012 and I am due December 2012.
