33 Weeks, We are getting Close!

I'm definitely in the home stretch now! With just 7 weeks to go until my due date, I'm getting even more excited to meet this little Being. I have one more bi-weekly visit with my midwives, then it is once a week, and in 3 weeks we have the home visit. My midwives, Aimee and Desiree, go on call at week 37. Here we go! Also getting some knitting in, I finished the most adorable little 'gnome' hat for the child, and its a good color for either gender.

Stonyman Hike

Eddie and I had a wonderfully relaxing day on Sunday, and some much needed rest. For me, its been about 10 years since I've been home on weekends and not at a Ren Faire somewhere. Which is fun, but being home during the best time of the year is even better.

Six years ago today on October 7th, we became a couple, and I still wear the gorgeous Claddaugh ring he bought for me from the MD Ren Faire. We have been together just about every day since, and happily celebrated our 5th wedding anniversary in July. :-)

We also decided to take a hike in the fog and rain, though didn't leave the house until about 4:30...and it gets dark around 7 these days. Usually we are much more prepared, though this time, we left with NO flashlights, NO water, and ended up getting a tad turned around and walked past our car because it was SO dark and foggy. Oh well. I was never so happy to see my truck! We got some great photos though.

Where my costuming addcition and now business first started.  I watched a  demonstration of Civil War era clothing on this front porch when I was about 7 or 8 years old. Twenty years later...what do I do for a living? ;-)

29 Weeks Pregnant and Final Weekend at MDRF 2012

This year has been one of the best and most fun seasons we have ever had at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. Depsite the grueling heat and gross jungle weather the first couple of weekends (and me being 25 pounds heavier with child!),





AND the tornado threat that whipped through the site during a show, Eddie and I had such an amazing time.

We got so see some of our favorite familiar faces and meet and share the enthusiasm of plenty of new faces as well. We got to welcome three new beautiful babies to our extended and imidiate family, Aiden, Faolan, and my nephew, Jeremiah. And I will always cherish the time I spent dancing while carrying my first child. The last few weekends, she (or he) was getting in on the performance, trying to show off her own moves from within while I was performing. What an amazing experience!! I'm so glad I chose to dance through my pregnancy, and why not?

2012 has definitely been a year of change, and for us, I think its a beautiful and postive change. It seems as though everything and everyone around us is going through a metamophisis of sorts, and I strongly feel that it is for the better. I look forward to the coming months, and what 2013 will bring for us all!

29.5 week tummy!

Last week, I entered into my third trimester, it seemed to get here SO fast! I still feel great, I'm still dancing, and still loving the whole experience. My only hope is that this will serve me well when the time comes to push. :-)

The Midwives Will Be Happy!

Just wanted to post a quick follow up to the below post, that due to such an incredible angel, our goal of paying the rest of the fee to the midwives has been accomplished!! We will now be able to finish making way for baby and make sure we have the remaining necessities for him/her.

Diapers, Etc....

We are almost about halfway done paying for our wonderful midwives at Ten Moons Midwifery. However, things are getting a little stretched, and not just my belly! In less than two months, we need to come up with $1,723, which, as I said, being both self-employed with things slowing down this time of year, well, we're doing our best.

When people have asked us what we need for the baby and want to send us gifts, I think the best answer would be diapers and donations, haha! People just seem afraid too gift diapers, but really, those are awesome!  (See: http://www.mother-ease.com/default.aspx/281) We've also decided to set up a place for online donations, as any little bit helps, and is immensely appreciated. 

Also, if anyone has any name suggestions, please post them in the comments box! :-)
